I signed up but my username and password isn't working!
a: It can sometimes take up
to two hours for Pay Pal's system to interface with our server and add
the username and password.
If it's been a couple of hours
and you still can't sign up it could be you are typing in the username
and password incorrectly. If you are cutting and pasteing them then
make sure you do not cut and paste the extra space after the username or
password. Your best bet is to type in the username and password manually.
If that doesn't work email us a copy of your Pay Pal receipt and we will
verify that your account was set up correctly on our end. the email
is vieclub@donnievie.com THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD MUST BE ENTEtan
EXACTLY THE WAY PAYPAL SENT IT TO YOU.
? - The
email from Pay Pal gave me my username but not a password
a: To retrieve your password
you will need to log on to Pay Pal under the account you used to sign up.
Once logged in to Pay Pal go to the "History" subtab of the "My Account"
tab. Choose "Subscriptions" from the pull-down menu and
press the "Submit" button.
Click on the Status link for this subscription; the Subscription Details
page will list your username and password.
? - What
in the hell are MPGA files? I thought these were mp3's?
a: The download files ARE
mp3's. Your system is set up in such a way that when you go to download
mp3's your system is changing the extension. Internet Explorer 6
and the Real One Player are known to do this. The easiest solution
is to click on the download link for the mp3 file and when you get the
"save as" dialog box go to the filename box and change the extension to
.mp3 instead of the automatic .mpga - You may need to have extension viewing
enabled on your system to do this.
Another solution is to download
a new player that supports the native mp3 format. Winamp is perhaps the
best. You can
get it at this link.. After you download the player, install
it and when it ask you which files to associate with it during the install
make sure you select MP3. If the install went correctly then your
files should download to mp3 from now on instead of mpga.
If you have Real One Player
installed you can try disassociating mp3's with it. You do this by launching
the player and then on the top menu bar go to tools and then preferences.
Then select Content / Media types. Unclick the boxes next to MP3's and
then press ok.
? - Why
won't the streams work on my system?
a- There could be a number
of reasons. If you are right clicking and selecting "save as" this will
not work because these files are set up to stream and not download.
Simply click on the link to the stream and it should play.
You don't have the Real Player
installed.
Click
here to get the latest Free Real One Player. Make sure when you
set it up to select expert set up and when it asks you which types of files
to associate with the Real One player, make sure you deselect all of the
non- real media types mp3's etc. That can cause other problems if you let
Real One handle these other formats.
If you have the Real One Player
installed and it still will not play these files then you might not have
it set up correctly. Launch the player and then on the top
menu bar go to tools and then preferences. Then select Content / Media
types. Scroll down to "other media" and then look for the Real Time Streaming
Protocol and the Real Media listings and click the boxes next to
them and then press ok.
Other Questions
? - How
come some songs are downloadable as mp3's and others are only streaming
Real Media files?
a - Because this is Donnie's
site and not the Enuff Z'nuff site, Donnie may from time to time let fans
listen to some rare EZN songs but only as streams. Most of Donnie's solo
material will be made available as mp3's so you can burn them to CD's.
All video material and interview type songs will be in Real Media format.
? How
involved is Donnie in the running of the Vie Club site?
a - Extensively. This is his
site and he runs the show.
? - Is that
really Donnie answering questions on the Vie Board?
a- Yes it is. He reads the
questions and then gives them to the webmaster to post.
? - Will
there be anything else added to the member site?
a- Of course, Donnie has new
ideas of things to add all the time so over time new features will be added.
? - How
often is the content updated?
a- The Vie Board is updated
with Donnie's answers every few days. New material like Downloads
and Streams are added every couple weeks.
? - Will
any of these songs ever appear on a official album?
a- Yes, Donnie does want to
release a traditional CD. Some of the songs that are featutan here may
make it on to such an album BUT most will be different versions. Most of
the songs featutan here are exclusive to the club, whether it's a unique
version or mix or offetan only through the club. Donnie is constantly writing
and recording new songs. It would be impossible to release them all on
regular CD's unless he released new ones every couple of months. That was
part of the reason for starting the Vie club, Donnie wants to share these
tunes with the fans and not make them wait for an official release. You
may get fully mastetan and mix songs or demos from The Vie Club. But even
if some songs are made available from the club and are later on an official
release, the club versions will in most cases be different versions or
mixes.
