"The greatest American Rock band in the last 20 years"

Hello everyone in EZN world....For years I've listened to New Thing and Michelle .. I finally decided about 6 weeks ago to buy their greatest hits cd and I got to be honest with everyone ...I then went out and bought all their studio albums...Today I cannot listen to any other music or bands except EZN....I mean the last band to take all of my attention like this was of course the Beatles and later on Queen but only Queen's first 3 albums in the early 70's...At this point If I'm not listening to them I have my guitar in my hands deciphering their songs.Derek was an underated great Lead guitarist.(I'm playing for 40 years and I think his style was pretty polished for a young guitarist.. my style is somewhat simular to Zac Wylde,Ronnie Montrose,Dick wagner,Steve Hunter kind of all combined) ... Chip and Don are brilliant songwriters and musicians (Donnie must have some of Lennons sprit floating around inside of him and Chip has got to be the most underated bass player of our time)...They deserve to be sitting on top of the world with recognition and wealth...EZN also have featured so many other great players who have made excellent contributions to their music..I just recentley saw a couple of negative videos on you tube about CHIP AND DON from some of the ex players regurading not getting paid for playing on the cd's...I dont know if it was a joke or what it was?...But I'll tell you right now ..If I had the opportunity to play and record with EZN..I. WOULD PLAY FOR FREE ANYDAY ...I would be honered to play with such writers and musicians of their caliber....
I've introduced EZN to alot of people here in Long Island and everybody absolutely loves EZN but the main question I keep getting is "Why didnt this band really make it big with all the fantastic music they have ? I guess most people feel if a band dosen't earn alot of cash they can't be all that good.?...Here are the answers I usually give them : In my opinion If EZN would have been maby a year or 2 earlier with the release of the 1rst album and had 2 more singles released(For Now,Never be without you,) from the first album to fill in the time gap till the 2nd album was released..They would have made it alright..They would have been the biggest selling American rock act in 20 years.. Even bigger than Guns and Roses and even Bon Jovi ..Lets call it bad timing with an unsupportive record company on that note..!!!!.........(.maby they would of come out on top of the next major dilema somehow then).....:::::
But here's the real reason EZN FANS AND EVERYONE : The changing of the tides... This hurt EZN'S momentum along with alot of already other big American or English established rock acts at that time .. Nirvana and the Seattle grundge thing with its sloppy music and appearence was just to much to overcome for everyone....Even the music executives just could'nt tell what the heck was going on either but something sure smelled good up in Seattle? (I'm not talking about teen spirit either..lol..)$$$$ .. With all their investment bucks tied up and invested in the slumping oversaturated " Hair bands era " and already operating over budget it was the perfect time to lose money on paper so they could free up the alloted investment funds needed to sign up all those new grundge acts.. ....So Just sign them whether they are good or bad !!!!.Same philosophy as with the Hair band signing trend once again..(Hey its business though over and over and over again even with rap) ..Now with the rock world on all levels of disarray , confusion and division ... ..HERE COMES THE FINAL BLOW TO THE THE MUSIC BUSINESS AS WE KNEW IT ...RAP (which was already turning business minded heads)....THE DESTRUCTION OF IT ALL FOR GOOD BANDS AND FOR 90% OF NEW ASPIRING MUSICIANS...Goodbye to the good bands hair or not... but the birth of the indy label has just arrived!!!!.Thank God !!!!......................Those are my answers ...........................if they understand it ...good for them..if they don"t I tried....lol...
I saw this mess and just decided to walk away from the music biz and a few years later got involved in the real estate business world as a Broker and real estate Investor and have been very successful at it till today...(I have never stopped writing or playing because of the love for the art) ...So you see EZN are truly great fighters and survivers of our time .The fact that they are stll making cds after 20 years is amazing....They won't go down..They never quit !!! Yes they want that great big paycheck that they rightfully deserve and I hope its sooner than later for them and you can tell it's always been about the music first....They are long overdue. Isn't it ironic and unfair that the career rap ciminal still gets signed today for big money by record companies over a great band like EZN . ..It's a real sad fact of reality as well as what MTV has become.Would'nt you say?. ..... So it's time for all of us EZN FANS ACROSS THE NATION AND AROUND THE WORLD TO UNITE and help Donnie and Chip. Let's give them the promotion and advertisement they are so badly in need of ...Hey Its easy and it's no lie....All you got to do is :::: Just tell everyone you meet that EZN is by far "The Greatest American Rock band in the last 20 years" ....Play alot of their music for awhile for them.... it's full of magic and will grab their hearts and ears ,,,,EVENTUALLY THEY WILL COME AROUND AND AGREE..!!!!! ......This band has a style and a song for just about everybody..!!!! ....and so did the Beatles and Queen...!!!
